About the event
Move Me, Baby
with Nova
A rope scene is more than just a sequence of knots and patterns you tie. In this class we’ll explore different techniques of body manipulation and movement to enhance your play. Topics will include different methods for moving the body or changing positions, how tops can utilize their body and the bottom’s body as tools, and how these skills can be used to make a simple tie into a rope scene.
We will also talk about safety for both parties, communication, and special considerations. Come out and learn how to move and be moved, physically and emotionally.
You’ll need a piece of rope and clothing you can move in.
Prerequisites: None required, single column preferred Please bring: 1-2 hanks of rope and something to take notes Class style: Lecture and tie along
About Rope Bite:
Open to everyone interested in rope bondage, Rope Bite is a class, open discussion, and play session all rolled into one welcoming and open environment. It is our hope that rope tops, bottoms, and switches of all skill levels come together as a community and have the opportunity to share and develop their skills. Come when you can to what you can. It's going to kick ass!
The Orlando Rope Bite meets the first Friday of every month and is open to both members and non-members of The Woodshed!
Cost: Suggested $10-20 donation
Join us before class for tea time! We will begin at 7:30pm at the Shed to have tea and social time.
We will have some teas, and one electric kettle, but anyone is welcomed (and encouraged) to bring teas, teapots, teacups (especially cups!) or anything else.
Tea at 7:30pm
Class at 8pm
Rope Jam after class
What is a rope jam? It's time to practice what you learned in class or to just practice. A lot of rope-y folks hang out and skill share and there are DMs to offer advice.
What does this cost? Rope Bite is all by donation and all donations go directly to The Woodshed. They let us use this space and their AC for no cost at all. If you are able to donate, we ask that you please do. It tells the Shed that you appreciate this space and class and that you want it to keep going.
