*Hybrid* Hands On: Working with Barbed Wire
Saturday, October 30, 2021, 05:00pm - 07:00pm

Hands On: Working with Barbed Wire
with JustRob

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to clean, prepare, and work with barbed wire for play. There will be no demo of play with barbed wire.

All of the necessary equipment and materials will be provided. The goal of this workshop is for everyone to walk away with hands-on knowledge of how to safely prepare barbed wire for play. As such, there will be an opportunity for each participant to cut, clean, and manipulate barbed wire.

Please be sure to review the below notes about safety precautions that will be required for this workshop.

Notes about Safety:

  • Wearing of work gloves and eye protection while actually cutting the barbed wire or near others cutting barbed wire will be required.
  • Participants may bring their own work gloves (cowhide work gloves recommended) and eye protection.
  • Participants who wear corrective lenses may forgo eye protection, but they may opt to wear additional eye protection to prevent scratching of their corrective lenses.
  • Work gloves and eye protection will be provided for participants that don't bring their own. If using provided work gloves and eye protection you will be required to wear nitrile gloves (provided) underneath the cowhide work gloves.

About the Presenter:

@JustRob (He/Him) has been involved in the public community in Jacksonville, FL since 2008. He identifies primarily as a Top and a Leatherman, but on occasion inhabits the roles of Sadist, Dominant, Leader, Mentor and Teacher. He is a reaction junkie who craves blood and other bodily fluids. Overall, his passion is helping people find their way in this lifestyle and helping those who have already found it to navigate it safely and grow personally.

Due to social distancing guidelines and occupancy limitations, there are a limited number of seats available on site. If you do not pre-register, we cannot guarantee that you will be allowed entry.

If you register to attend virtually, you will receive an email 90 minutes before the Zoom meeting starts with the information to log on.

Cost: $10 in person; $5 virtual

COVID Precautions On Site:

  • We will be conducting temperature checks upon entry.
  • We will be requiring everyone to wear a mask at all times.
  • You will be required to sign a waiver on site stating that you are aware of the risks of being in a social environment, agree to the safety practices that are in use at the time of your visit, and are aware that there may be a risk of the need for contact tracing should an outbreak occur in the area.

If you are uncomfortable with any of these points, please join us virtually via Zoom!
